BREAKING: Minnesota Football Lands Commitments From Highly Rated Four-star corner Over Tennessee Southern Cal and Georgia Tech
Minnesota is hoping to land a key piece for its 2026 recruiting class as four-star cornerback Justin Hopkins announces his decision tomorrow at 5 p.m. CT.
The Ensworth School (Nashville, Tenn.) standout has narrowed his choices to Minnesota, Tennessee, USC, and Georgia Tech. Hopkins, a 5-foot-10.5, 170-pound defensive back, is ranked as the No. 22 cornerback nationally and No. 9 overall player in Tennessee per the 247Sports Composite.

Minnesota has been heavily involved in his recruitment, with head coach P.J. Fleck and corners coach Nick Monroe making a strong push. Monroe, in particular, has been recruiting Hopkins for months, and the talented DB took a visit to Minneapolis for a Gophers game last November.
With offers from over 25 programs, Hopkins has plenty of options. If he picks Minnesota, it would be a big recruiting win for Fleck and Monroe as they look to continue strengthening their secondary.
