Columbus (Ohio) Harvest Prep defensive back has scheduled an official visit to Minnesota this summer. The Gophers extended an offer to Jones in late January, making them his first Big Ten offer. The 6-foot-0, 170-pound junior, who excels on both sides of the ball, was recruited as a defensive back.

Jones spoke highly of Minnesota’s coaching staff, particularly Coach Danny Collins, saying, “I feel like he’s a great fit for me. He’s a coach I look forward to playing for.” He also praised the program, noting, “I know that their staff is really good.”

A three-star recruit according to 247Sports, Jones also holds Power Four offers from West Virginia and Kentucky. As a junior, he earned All-District First Team honors, totaling 1,500 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns on offense, while recording seven interceptions on defense. His performance earned him Central District V Defensive Player of the Year.

Minnesota 2026 Football Prospects

Jones will be in Minneapolis for Minnesota’s second “Summer Splash” recruiting weekend on June 13.
