Former Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman Jon Feliciano announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday morning via social media after a 10-season career. Feliciano, who started for four years at Miami, played for the Oakland Raiders (2015–2018), Buffalo Bills (2019–2021), New York Giants (2022), and San Francisco 49ers (2023–2024).

A member of Miami’s 2010 recruiting class, Feliciano was ranked 729th nationally, 54th among offensive tackles, and 99th in Florida. After redshirting his freshman year, he played in 10 games with eight starts in 2011 without allowing a sack. Despite missing time due to injury, he started two of Miami’s final three games that season.

Feliciano became a full-time starter as a sophomore, starting all 12 games at left guard and earning All-ACC honorable mention. As a junior, he started 11 games at left guard and two at right tackle, again earning honorable mention All-ACC honors. In his senior year (2014), he showcased his versatility by starting at left tackle, right tackle, and right guard. His 44 career starts rank among the most in Miami history. Feliciano initially joined the Hurricanes after attending a spring practice and personally handing in his highlight tape.

In the NFL, Feliciano played 48 games over four seasons with the Raiders, making eight starts. As a rookie in 2015, he appeared in six games with three starts. He later signed a two-year, $8 million deal with Buffalo in 2019, where he played in 34 games (30 starts) over three seasons, though injuries limited his availability.

After being released by Buffalo in March 2022, Feliciano joined the New York Giants on a one-year deal and started all 15 games he played that season. He then signed a one-year contract with San Francisco in March 2023, appearing in 16 games with seven starts that year. He also started in Super Bowl LVIII, where the 49ers fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 25–22 in overtime. His final NFL game was that Super Bowl, as he was placed on injured reserve in August 2024.

Feliciano concluded his career with 113 games played and 61 starts over nine active seasons. In his retirement message, he reflected on his passion for Miami, saying he began playing football “with the sole purpose of playing for the greatest football team in the world—The U.” He also credited former Miami offensive lineman Brandon Linder for guiding him through early struggles as a redshirt freshman.
