BREAKING: Former Miami 4-year starting offensive lineman announces NFL retirement
Jon Feliciano, a former four-year starting offensive lineman for the Miami Hurricanes, announced his retirement after a 10-season NFL career. He played for the Oakland Raiders from 2015–2018, the Buffalo Bills from 2019–2021, the New York Giants in 2022, and the San Francisco 49ers in 2023 and 2024.
Feliciano joined Miami in the 2010 class as the 729th-ranked prospect, 54th offensive tackle, and 99th player in Florida. After redshirting as a freshman, he appeared in 10 games with eight starts in 2011, not allowing a sack. He returned from a midseason injury to start two of the last three games that year.
As a sophomore, Feliciano started all 12 games at left guard and earned All-ACC honorable mention. He started 11 games at left guard and two at right tackle in his junior year, receiving honorable mention All-ACC again. As a senior, Feliciano contributed across multiple positions, starting at left and right tackle, and right guard. His 44 career starts rank among the most in Miami history. He initially joined the Hurricanes after attending a spring practice and submitting his highlight tape.

In the NFL, Feliciano played in 48 games across four seasons with eight starts in Oakland. As a rookie in 2015, he played in six games, starting three. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills in 2019 on a two-year, $8 million deal and started 30 of 34 games over three seasons, though injuries hampered his time there. The Bills released him in 2022, and he quickly signed a one-year contract with the New York Giants, starting all 15 games he played in 2022.
In 2023, Feliciano joined the San Francisco 49ers on a one-year deal and played in 16 games, starting seven. He also started in Super Bowl LVIII, where the 49ers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime. Super Bowl LVIII marked his final game, as he was placed on injured reserve in August 2024.
