BREAKING: Ex-Bills WR Stefon Diggs Files $1 Million Lawsuit Against Social Media Star
Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs is suing a reality TV and social media personality for $1 million, accusing her of assault and attempting to extort him.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Diggs filed the lawsuit in Texas, alleging that the woman punched him and damaged several of his valuable possessions before attempting to extort him. The lawsuit also claims that the woman had threatened to sue Diggs before he filed his own legal action.
Diggs has faced his share of controversy, including his unexpected departure from the Bills last offseason, when he was traded to the Houston Texans.
Stefon Diggs Claims Assault, Extortion
The Houston Chronicle reported that Stefon Diggs is seeking up to $1 million in damages from “Basketball Wives Orlando” star Mia Jones, also known as Mulan Hernandez, in a lawsuit filed in Harris County. The suit claims that Jones punched Diggs multiple times, damaged his six-figure watch, threw his phone in the toilet, smashed his game console, and threatened his career before attempting to extort him with a fabricated story, supported by her friend Brianna “Brii” Mack.
Diggs’ attorney, Kent Schaffer, told the Chronicle that Jones had previously threatened Diggs with an assault lawsuit last November. Schaffer accused her of making up the allegations to try to extort the wide receiver.
“There are a lot of people out there who think that if they meet a celebrity, they can get something out of it,” Schaffer said. “This woman had a brief, mostly casual relationship with Diggs and thought she could turn that into a payday.”
Schaffer also mentioned that Diggs unknowingly became involved in the scheme, noting that many young athletes and entertainers encounter people who try to take advantage of them. “Diggs was trying to avoid the drama, but unfortunately, he walked right into it,” Schaffer added.
Stefon Diggs Faces Uncertain Future
Stefon Diggs had a rough season with the Houston Texans after being traded from the Buffalo Bills, initially starting strong before a torn ACL ended his season prematurely. In the eight games he played, Diggs recorded 47 receptions for 496 yards and three touchdowns.

Now a free agent for the first time in his career, Diggs faces an uncertain future. Marcus Mosher of The 33rd Team predicted that Diggs will sign with the Los Angeles Chargers on a one-year, $14 million contract.
“The Los Angeles Chargers need help at wide receiver,” Mosher wrote. “Quentin Johnston hasn’t proven to be reliable enough as the No. 1 X-receiver, and Joshua Palmer has struggled to stay healthy. Ladd McConkey was the team’s top slot receiver, but adding Diggs would provide a reliable, high-quality option on the outside.”
The Bills parted ways with both Diggs and No. 2 receiver Gabe Davis last offseason, opting for an “everybody eats” approach that spread the ball across a broader group of pass-catchers.
