BREAKING: Broncos to Sign Pro Bowler, Super Bowl Champion
With the NFL Combine starting on Wednesday, the offseason is officially underway, and free agency is quickly approaching. PFF’s Mason Cameron has outlined his ideal moves for each NFL team, including the Denver Broncos, who could benefit from signing Super Bowl-winning receiver Chris Godwin.

Godwin had an impressive start to the 2024 season, racking up 576 receiving yards and five touchdowns before suffering a torn ACL in his seventh game, sidelining him for the rest of the season. He was on track for his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard season. While his injury has lowered his value, 2025 will be a “prove it” year for the veteran wide receiver to demonstrate he can still perform at a high level.
This drop in value could present an opportunity for Denver to make a strong push to acquire Godwin as an additional target for quarterback Bo Nix. Godwin would immediately slot in as the No. 2 receiver behind Courtland Sutton, with Denver’s current second option being seventh-round rookie Devaughn Vele. Godwin, who was drafted a year before Sutton, would be the longest-tenured player in the Broncos’ receiving corps. Strengthening the offense around Nix is a key move for a Denver team aiming to return to the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
