Out of Mission Viejo High School in California, Spafford is a top 10 wide receiver in the class of 2026 according to 247Sports. He’s tabbed as the number 61 overall recruit in the class, and stands out as a top ten player in his state. Spafford committed to Georgia back in November of last year. But since then he’s garnered additional offers from around the nation including USC, Alabama, and Colorado.

On the football field, Spafford’s speed turns heads and translates into production. Spafford totaled over 1,000 receiving yards on 57 catches with 15 total touchdowns as a junior. He also blocked two punts on special teams. His sophomore statistics were his best. In 2023, he hauled in 22 touchdowns on 83 catches for 1,576 receiving yards. All three of which were career highs. Spafford’s personal best 100-meter dash is 10.69 seconds, and his speed is a big part of his game out wide. The four-star wide receiver is 5’-11” and 185 pounds, making him an ideal slot target at the next level. With the way the Husky offense utilizes slot receivers, Spafford is an intriguing target for this staff. Washington will work to influence him at Junior Day.

Oklahoma Commit Daniel Odom

Daniel Odom, a four-star wide receiver from St. John Bosco High School in Southern California, committed to Oklahoma in late January 2024. He is ranked among the top 50 receivers nationally by 247Sports. Odom plays for one of the prestigious Trinity League programs, known for producing top-tier talent.

Before committing to Oklahoma, Odom included Washington in his final six schools, alongside Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, and Miami. He recently showcased his skills at the Rivals Camp Series in Los Angeles, earning a “Gold Ball” for his standout performance.

As a junior, Odom recorded 45 catches for 682 yards and five touchdowns at St. John Bosco. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated over 1,300 receiving yards and 12 touchdown receptions. Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 178 pounds, Odom’s size and skill make him a strong prospect. Washington’s wide receiver coach Kevin Cummings visited him during the January contact period, and the Huskies will continue to pursue Odom with the hopes of influencing his decision during Junior Day.

Texas A&M Commit Madden Williams

St. John Bosco finished the 2024 season ranked second in California with an impressive 11-2 record, thanks in large part to the team’s exceptional talent at wide receiver. Alongside Daniel Odom, they also have four-star receiver Madden Williams. Williams, a California native, committed to Texas A&M in late December, but his final list of six schools did not include Washington. He narrowed his options to Arizona State, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, and the Aggies.

As a junior, Williams totaled 50 receptions for 851 yards and 13 touchdowns. Like Odom, Williams stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs around 185 pounds. His film highlights his ability to create separation at the line of scrimmage, as well as his strong hands and willingness to make tough catches, especially over the middle. Although Washington was not among Williams’ final group, they still have a chance to make their pitch during Junior Day this weekend.
