BREAKING: Josh Allen finally break silence on wedding with Hailee Steinfeld with ‘Bigger’ Engagement Ring
Josh Allen is confident in his choice of engagement ring for fiancée Hailee Steinfeld—even though his recent record-breaking NFL contract means he could afford an upgrade.
Speaking to reporters during a livestream with 7 News WKBW on Wednesday, March 12, the Buffalo Bills quarterback, 28, addressed his newly extended contract, which secures him $330 million through 2030 following his 2024 NFL MVP season.
When asked if he had set aside any of his earnings for wedding-related expenses—perhaps even a bigger ring—Allen laughed and responded, “A bigger ring, you said?” before adding, “Uh, nah, I think she likes the one she’s got.”

Allen and Steinfeld, both 28, announced their engagement on November 29, sharing a romantic Instagram post a week after Allen proposed at sunset in Malibu. The quarterback popped the question in front of a rose-adorned arch, surrounded by candlelight.
The couple was first linked in May 2023 and made their relationship Instagram official in July 2024. In a February interview with Who What Wear, Steinfeld revealed that Allen had subtly hinted at the proposal, encouraging her to dress up for the occasion.

“I’m so grateful he did it the way he did, so I looked good, and we have these photos to cherish forever without me wondering, ‘What was I wearing?'” Steinfeld said. She described the proposal as a magical surprise, adding, “Malibu is my happy place, and it was just perfect.”
The pair waited until after their engagement to make their red carpet debut. On February 7, Steinfeld accompanied Allen to the NFL Honors, where he was named MVP. Following the event, she posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing, “That’s MVP Josh Allen to you!” to which Allen sweetly replied, “I love you ❤️🔥.”
