BREAKING: Cowboys sign Super Bowl LVI MVP in free agency blockbuster
The Dallas Cowboys are in need of a standout receiver to complement CeeDee Lamb, and with a star player unexpectedly hitting free agency, they could seize the opportunity.
The Los Angeles Rams attempted to trade Cooper Kupp but ultimately released him, making him available on the open market. Kupp could provide a significant boost to the Cowboys’ receiving corps alongside Lamb. According to TWSN’s Steve Bradshaw, Dallas is a strong candidate to sign him now that he’s a free agent.
Bradshaw noted that while Lamb played 50.3% of his snaps in the slot last season, he is fully capable of shifting outside. This would allow Kupp to take over the primary slot role, maximizing his remaining potential. With roughly $51 million in cap space, per OverTheCap, the Cowboys have the financial flexibility to offer Kupp a short-term deal.

A Super Bowl MVP and 2021 All-Pro, Kupp secured the Triple Crown that season and remains one of the league’s elite receivers when healthy. However, injuries have been a concern, as he has missed 18 games over the past three seasons.

Despite this, he was on pace to surpass 1,000 yards in each of those seasons. While signing Kupp carries some injury risk, he could be a game-changing addition if he stays on the field.
