BREAKING: Blockbuster Bills Latest Trade Lands All-Pro Replacement for Von Miller

The Buffalo Bills need to address a gap on their defensive line following Von Miller’s departure and two unexpected absences. However, one insider believes they could solve the issue with a major trade.

Miller was released as a cost-cutting measure, though the team has left the door open for a potential return on a reduced contract. Additionally, the Bills lost two recent acquisitions, former Rams edge rusher Michael Hoecht and former Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, who were both handed six-game suspensions for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

In response, Jarrett Bailey of The Sporting News suggests the Bills could use a Day 2 draft pick to acquire another All-Pro to bolster their defensive line.

Bills Land Trey Hendrickson in New Deal

The Bills have already taken steps to strengthen their pass rush, signing Joey Bosa to a one-year, $12.6 million deal. However, Jarrett Bailey suggests they could further bolster their defensive front by trading for Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson.

NFL Insider Shares Update on Trey Hendrickson: Hendrickson Wants to be in Cincinnati

Hendrickson has already requested a trade, and Bailey believes Buffalo could acquire him by offering this year’s No. 56 overall pick, a fifth-round selection (No. 175), and a 2026 third-round pick.

Bringing in Hendrickson would provide insurance if Bosa continues to struggle with injuries, as he has in recent seasons. It would also allow the Bills to manage Bosa’s workload, keeping him fresher for the playoffs.

“I understand Buffalo just extended Greg Rousseau and signed Joey to a one-year deal. However, acquiring Hendrickson gives you three havoc play-makers off the edge,” Bailey wrote. “Plus, there is no guarantee Bosa will be healthy all season, and having him in a more supportive role like a closer in baseball would better suit him and the Bills. Get Hendrickson, extend him, and give yourselves a tremendous trio of pass rushers for the 2025 season.”

Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team noted that interest in Hendrickson on the trade market has declined. He also pointed out that the Bengals may hesitate to trade him to a conference rival like Buffalo.

“The Commanders were interested, but they just traded for Laremy Tunsil,” Meirov said on NFL Spotlight With Ari Meirov. “They’re kind of limited on picks. Now, the Atlanta Falcons have been mentioned as well, but that’s kind of cooled down. The teams that would be interested in Trey Hendrickson is kind of dwindling.”

Bills Have Another Option on the Table

The Bills may have more avenues beyond the trade market to strengthen their pass rush. General manager Brandon Beane revealed that the team remains open to bringing back Von Miller, who left on good terms after his release.

“We just decided where the salary was to take a step back,” Beane told reporters on March 14. “We never closed the door whether it’s now or later in the spring or in-season.”
