BREAKING: Kyle Juszczyk’s wife Kristin reacts to his surprise re-signing after release
Kyle Juszczyk is staying with the 49ers! The veteran fullback has re-signed with San Francisco after briefly entering free agency, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Juszczyk agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal.
His wife, Kristin Juszczyk, shared an emotional post about the signing, expressing their deep connection to the Bay Area.
“This past week has really made Kyle and I reflect on our past eight years in the Bay,” Kristin wrote alongside a highlight video featuring Kyle on the field with Harry Styles’ Sign of the Times playing in the background. “We grew up here. We turned friends into family here. We won and lost championships here. We feel so incredibly blessed to have called the Bay home for the past eight years.”
The video showcased Kristin, known for her sports-inspired fashion designs, passionately supporting Kyle during games. It also captured behind-the-scenes moments of her laughing with friends, bonding with other player wives, and sharing heartfelt moments with her husband—including a sweet post-game kiss.
“These have truly been the best years of our lives,” she continued. “Kyle’s journey isn’t over yet, and we couldn’t be happier and more emotional to stay home! ❤️ We’re forever Faithful @49ers @juicecheck44.”
Fans flooded the comments with excitement and relief over Juszczyk’s return.
“Thank God. Don’t scare me like that again,” one fan wrote.
“Not emotionally prepared for the happiness I feel right now,” another added.
Another passionate fan celebrated the signing, writing: “God is so good! He heard our prayers! We may not know you personally, but we appreciate and value your impact on the team. Kyle is a key player—so important in so many ways.”

Others emphasized Juszczyk’s role both on and off the field: “The 49ers wouldn’t be the same without him! We get to keep our power couple, enjoy the weekly red and gold fits, and keep chanting ‘JUICEEEEEEEE!’ The Faithful are forever grateful for this deal. Thank you, @49ers! Thank you, @juicecheck44!”
The 49ers struggled last season, finishing with a 6-11 record. Their final game was a 47-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on January 5, 2025.
Despite the tough year, Juszczyk was determined to keep playing.

“I know I’m not done,” he said. “I’ve seen zero regression. Watch my last two games and tell me where I’ve declined—I have no plans of stopping.”
In the previous season, the 49ers reached the Super Bowl but fell to the Kansas City Chiefs, 25-22.
Juszczyk has been with the 49ers since 2017 after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2013-2016).
