BREAKING: Seattle Mariners announce multi-year contract extension
SEATTLE – Bonneville Seattle Media Group and the Seattle Mariners have reached a multi-year extension agreement to keep Seattle Sports as the official radio station for Mariners baseball.
Kevin Martinez, President of Business Operations for the Mariners, expressed, “We’re excited to extend our partnership with Bonneville to continue making Seattle Sports the home for Mariners broadcasts. Bonneville has been a trusted partner for over 30 years, helping us connect with our fans and provide engaging Mariners content across both traditional and digital platforms.”
The announcement was made during Monday’s Wyman and Bob show on Seattle Sports, hosted by Mariners broadcasters Rick Rizzs and Gary Hill.
The 2025 season will mark the 35th year that 710 KIRO-AM (Seattle Sports) serves as the Mariners’ flagship radio station. The Mariners have been broadcasting on Seattle Sports since the station’s switch to an all-sports format in 2009. KIRO-AM also hosted Mariners broadcasts from 1985 to 2002.
Cathy Cangiano, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Bonneville Seattle, shared, “We’re excited to extend our long-standing relationship with the Mariners. At Bonneville, we’re committed to providing top-notch, innovative, and entertaining local content, and renewing our partnership with the Mariners is a perfect match.”
Fans in the Mariners’ broadcast area, which includes Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, and British Columbia, can access every game through the Seattle Sports app or SeattleSports.com, ensuring they stay connected with the action no matter where they are.

Kyle Brown, Seattle Sports Program Director, added, “We’re thrilled to make Mariners audio content available to fans, both on-air and via the Seattle Sports app, providing a simple and convenient way for fans across the Pacific Northwest to tune in.”

In addition to airing all 162 regular season games and spring training contests, the Mariners will have a year-round presence on Seattle Sports. This includes weekly interviews with players, coaches, broadcasters, and team executives, as well as programs such as The Dugout and Extra Innings. Coverage also features pregame and postgame shows, Trident Talk on Sundays during the season, The Hot Stove Show in the winter, and the Cactus League Report during spring training.
