BREAKING: Von Miller Speaks Out Passionately On Bills Goodbye
It wasn’t much of a surprise when the Buffalo Bills decided to release veteran edge rusher and former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller at the start of the offseason. After signing a six-year, $120 million contract, Miller managed just 14 sacks over the past three seasons and dealt with some off-field issues. Though his release was largely a salary cap decision, Miller harbors no hard feelings toward the team.
“After 15 years in the league, you don’t want to go through the struggles of losing again,” Miller said. “That can wear on you more than anything. In the NFL, you never know what’s coming next. Winning games is my priority, and everything else follows.”

Miller’s career has taken an interesting path since his days as a top pass rusher with the Denver Broncos and his Super Bowl-winning stint with the Los Angeles Rams. One reason he isn’t upset with Buffalo’s decision is his age—at 36, he understands the business side of the game. Playing alongside former league MVP Josh Allen was something he valued, but he’s also open to new opportunities.
“I’ve done everything I could possibly do,” Miller said with conviction. “Whatever comes next is what comes next. It’s fun and exciting looking at new teams and new quarterbacks. You can’t replace a guy like Josh Allen and the season he had.”

While Buffalo hasn’t entirely ruled out the possibility of bringing Miller back, their limited cap space—just under $5 million—makes it unlikely at the moment. For now, though, there’s no bad blood between Miller and his former team.
