North Carolina’s frontcourt is set to take on an international edge next season.

In a move to strengthen their interior presence, the Tar Heels are reportedly adding a seasoned big man to the roster.

According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, UNC has secured a commitment from Arizona transfer Henri Veesaar.

Veesaar, 21, played two seasons with the Wildcats and averaged 9.4 points and 5 rebounds in 2025. Originally from Tallinn, Estonia, he developed in the Real Madrid system before coming to college—a rare path in NCAA basketball—and has also competed internationally for Estonia.

The Tar Heels are looking to rebound from a disappointing 2025 campaign, which saw them scrape into the NCAA tournament only to fall in the first round to Ole Miss. That outcome was a stark contrast to 2024, when UNC earned a No. 1 seed and advanced to the Sweet 16.

Meanwhile, Arizona has continued its strong postseason form, advancing past the first weekend of the NCAA tournament for the third time in four years.
