BREAKING: Former Utah center transfers to Oregon State women’s basketball
Oregon State women’s basketball has made a major addition to its frontcourt with the transfer of former Utah center Néné Sow.
Sow, a 6-foot-8 graduate transfer from Brussels, Belgium, announced Wednesday that she’s joining the Beavers. She becomes one of the tallest players in program history, alongside Jelena Mitrovic (6-9) and Joanna Grymek (6-8). Sow spent three seasons at Utah, including a redshirt year in 2022-23, after starting her college career with two years at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
Playing time was limited for Sow last season, as she appeared in just 19 total minutes for the Utes, scoring six points and collecting six rebounds. Her longest appearance came in a four-minute stint against Southern Utah on Nov. 4.
Oregon State has also recently brought in former Washington State guard Jenna Villa via the transfer portal and added two Australian guards from the 2025 class—Katelyn Field and Keira Lindemans, who played for the same club team.
To date, no players from the current Beavers roster have announced plans to enter the transfer portal.
