BREAKING: San Diego State transfer guard commits to TCU
TCU women’s basketball continued its impressive streak in the transfer portal on Monday, with multiple reports confirming that San Diego State junior guard Veronica Sheffey has committed to the Horned Frogs. During the 2024-25 season,
Sheffey posted averages of 11.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game, while shooting 42.9% from the field and 36.6% from beyond the arc. Sheffey, who started all 35 games for the Aztecs this season, becomes the sixth transfer addition for TCU this offseason, joining Olivia Miles, Taliyah Parker, Marta Suarez, Clara Silva, and Kennedy Basham.
A native of Woodinville, Washington, Sheffey began her college career at the University of San Diego, where she played two seasons and made 31 starts before transferring to SDSU.

The 5-foot-9 guard has steadily developed her perimeter shooting, increasing her 3-point accuracy from 30.6% in 2023-24 to nearly 37% last season.
