BREAKING: Bills’ GM Brandon Beane destroys WR obsessed radio host with colorful language

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane responded to criticism about the team’s lack of upgrades to the wide receiver position during his radio appearance on WGR550’s Jeremy and Joe Show on Monday morning.

Beane opened the interview by remarking, “I was just listening to the last few minutes of your show before I came on. Sounds like 2018 all over again with you guys.” When co-host Jeremy White asked, “How so?”, Beane explained with frustration.

“Well, in 2018, you were complaining about Josh Allen, saying you wanted Josh Rosen, and now you’re complaining that we don’t have a receiver. I don’t understand it. We just scored 30 points in a row for eight straight games.

Last year, sure, I get you questioning our receivers, but now? I don’t get it. We just led the league in points, including the postseason. No team scored more than us, even the Super Bowl champions. We did that without Stefon Diggs. How is this group not better than last year’s? Our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to improve? Defense, and we did that. I get it, you need to have something to complain about for your show, but complaining about wide receivers is one of the dumbest arguments I’ve heard.”

White responded, “Okay. I mean, I wish you’d listened to the two hours and 25 minutes before that, because there are plenty of things we like about your draft. I find it curious the energy you’re coming at us with, but that’s your choice.”

Beane then clarified, “I understand, but let’s be real. Our job isn’t fantasy football where you just gather the best receivers. First, we need to protect Josh Allen. You can’t have it all. You can’t have Pro Bowl wide receivers, an All-Pro offensive line, and an MVP quarterback, plus three great running backs. I’d love to play fantasy football, but there’s only one ball.

You can’t spread it around to everyone. I don’t get this narrative. I’ve felt it from a few reporters too. Our job is to score points. It doesn’t matter who the receivers or the quarterback are. If you score points at the level we did, that’s winning football.”

The Bills recently drafted Kaden Prather in the seventh round, marking the first significant move to address the wide receiver position since signing Joshua Palmer in free agency. Beane also mentioned that the addition of Palmer, along with a fully healthy Curtis Samuel, should strengthen the receiver group. He added that Dalton Kincaid, with his pass-catching skills, should also be considered as part of the equation.
