Angel Reese is gearing up for her second WNBA season with the Chicago Sky.

Reese made a significant impact in her rookie year, building on the stardom she achieved during her college career at LSU. She quickly became one of the league’s standout forwards, helping lead the Sky to a 13-27 record in her debut season.

Beyond basketball, Reese has also become a prominent figure in fashion. Just a couple of weeks before the new season tips off, she attended the 2025 Met Gala, where her appearance drew major attention online. Her standout look—a v-neck gown by 16Arlington featuring a sequin and lace bodice—earned praise, and WNBA legend Lisa Leslie even gave her a new nickname: “Met Barb.”

The nickname is a nod to Reese’s evolving persona, building off her previous monikers—“Bayou Barbie” during her LSU days and “Chi Barbie” after joining the Sky.

As she enters her sophomore season under new head coach Tyler Marsh, Reese will look to build on her impressive rookie numbers, which included 13.6 points and a WNBA-leading 13.1 rebounds per game. Her former coach, Teresa Weatherspoon, who shared a strong connection with Reese, was let go following last season.
