Rookies from the 2025 NFL Draft class are beginning to get acclimated to their new teams, and one of them—former Georgia safety Malaki Starks—is already making headlines after being selected in the first round by the Baltimore Ravens. Though he’s only been with the team for a short time, Starks has already stirred some attention by calling out a rival quarterback.

When asked which signal-caller he’s most eager to intercept in the NFL, Starks responded confidently: “I wanna get Josh Allen.”

The Ravens and Bills have faced off four times over the past five years, with Baltimore dropping three of those contests. Starks is hoping he can help shift that trend in the Ravens’ favor.

While some interpreted Starks’ comment as a jab at Allen, it more likely reflects admiration for one of the league’s elite quarterbacks. After all, what rookie defender wouldn’t want to test himself against the best—especially with a potential playoff showdown looming?

Although no official date has been announced, the Ravens are scheduled to visit Buffalo during the 2025 regular season. That game could serve as the stage for a high-profile showdown between Starks and Allen.

Starks joins a growing Georgia pipeline in Baltimore, where he’ll team up with former Bulldogs linebacker Roquan Smith and work under offensive coordinator Todd Monken, who previously coached at Georgia.
