Moore has posted a 4.15 ERA over 8 2/3 innings for Double-A Chattanooga this season. The Reds acquired him from the Mariners in the 2022 trade involving Luis Castillo.

To open a spot on the 40-man roster, the Reds placed outfielder Tyler Callihan on the 60-day injured list following surgery on his broken left forearm. He’s expected to be out for at least two months.

Cincinnati announced the transactions during Friday night’s game in Houston.
