After initially signing with the New York Giants in March, the team announced last week that they were parting ways with former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey. However, the Giants reversed course today and revealed that they are re-signing Humphrey.

A product of the renowned Southlake Carroll High School football program, Humphrey played for Texas from 2016 to 2018, spanning the coaching tenures of Charlie Strong and Tom Herman. In his standout junior season in 2018, he posted over 1,100 receiving yards and scored nine touchdowns.
Following that season, Humphrey declared for the NFL Draft but went undrafted. He later signed with the New Orleans Saints, where he competed for a roster spot from 2019 through the 2021 postseason. In 2022, he joined the New England Patriots for a season before playing under head coach Sean Payton with the Denver Broncos during the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.
