Exciting Josh Allen Announcement Made on Monday

Spread the love

Although the Buffalo Bills fell short of making the Super Bowl last season, quarterback Josh Allen is still enjoying a remarkable year.

Allen not only earned the AP Most Valuable Player Award, but the Bills also showed their appreciation by signing him to a new $330 million contract, which includes a record-setting $250 million in guaranteed money—despite still being years away from needing an extension.

Off the field, Allen is also thriving. He got engaged to actress Hailee Steinfeld in November and supported her during the release of her latest film, Sinners, earlier this offseason.

This week, Allen is expected to appear on national television. Many fans believe he’ll be featured on NBC’s TODAY show on Monday, following comments made by One Bills Live host Chris Brown on May 9. With the 2025 NFL schedule set to drop this week, speculation is swirling.

“I’m not sure if he’ll be on set or joining remotely via Zoom, but this has definitely sparked rumors about a possible announcement related to the Bills,” Brown said. “Keep in mind, NBC broadcasts Sunday Night Football and also hosts late-season games on Peacock.”

TV Guide Announced Bills QB Josh Allen Will Appear on The ‘TODAY’ Show on Wednesday

Fans who tuned into NBC’s TODAY show on Monday expecting to see Josh Allen or hear Buffalo Bills-related news were met with a surprise. Instead, broadcaster Mike Tirico revealed that the NFL Kickoff Game for Thursday Night Football will feature the Philadelphia Eagles facing the Dallas Cowboys.

Though the reason for the scheduling confusion remains unclear, TV Guide now lists Allen’s TODAY show appearance for May 14. Tirico also highlighted that this season marks the 20th anniversary of Sunday Night Football, fueling speculation that the Bills could land a primetime slot in Week 1.

Still, WROC-TV’s Thad Brown urged fans not to expect too much from Allen’s upcoming segment. “Per a source, the Josh Allen Today Show appearance is going to happen Wednesday,” Brown posted. “If that is the case, it’s unlikely to involve any #Bills schedule reveals since the Today Show already announced its game. Josh might be asked about other matchups, but that’s about it.”

Meanwhile, the NFL’s broadcast rollout continues this week: Fox and Prime Video will unveil select games Monday, Good Morning Football will announce the international slate on May 13, and CBS and Netflix will follow with additional game announcements Wednesday—just ahead of the full schedule release.

Josh Allen and the Bills Predicted to Have Numerous Primetime Games This Season

With Josh Allen leading the charge as the Bills aim for a sixth straight AFC East title and a long-awaited Super Bowl appearance, fans can expect Buffalo to be featured in several primetime matchups this season.

The Bills are also expected to play one international game and are a strong candidate for one of Netflix’s three primetime slots on Christmas Day.
