Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz has become the first MLB player since 1900 to tally at least 115 extra-base hits and stolen bases within his first 300 career games.
The milestone was highlighted during the Reds’ series finale against the Houston Astros on Sunday and later shared by the team on social media Monday.

Since debuting with the Reds, the 23-year-old has compiled 56 doubles, 17 triples, 44 home runs, and 116 stolen bases across parts of three seasons. So far in the current season, he’s hitting .244 with five doubles, six home runs, and 14 steals over 42 games.

Earlier this year, Codify noted that De La Cruz became just the ninth player since 1988 to register a game with at least two home runs, four hits, seven RBIs, and a stolen base.
