Flau’jae Johnson has emerged as a rising talent in college basketball. As a freshman, she helped lead the LSU Tigers to the 2023 NCAA women’s championship and has continued to elevate her performance each year since.

One of her teammates during the past two seasons was Aneesah Morrow, a 6-foot-1 forward from Chicago. Morrow had a standout college career, starting at DePaul before transferring to LSU, and was selected No. 7 overall by the Connecticut Sun in this year’s WNBA Draft. Though Morrow has faced challenges early in her pro career, Johnson recently showed her support with a post on social media.

Johnson averaged 11.0 points per game in her freshman year and improved significantly this past season, scoring 18.6 points per game and shooting 38.3% from beyond the arc.

Despite winning the national title in 2023, LSU has been knocked out in the Elite Eight in each of the last two tournaments, even with strong contributions from both Johnson and Morrow.

Throughout her college career, Morrow consistently averaged double-digit rebounds and earned multiple honors, including SEC All-Defensive Team recognition in 2025 and First-Team All-SEC selections in 2024 and 2025.

Meanwhile, Johnson was eligible for the 2024 WNBA Draft but opted to return to LSU for another season. She is projected to be a top-10 pick when she does declare, with some projecting her as a potential top-three selection.
