Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins couldn’t help but crack a joke when asked about what he got quarterback Josh Allen as a wedding gift. In a lighthearted moment on The Rich Eisen Show, Dawkins revealed that his present to Allen wasn’t something wrapped in a box, but rather something far more valuable over the course of their time together on the field: his health.
“Man, Josh is lucky I’ve kept him upright all these years,” Dawkins joked. “My gift is that he’s able to walk down that aisle in one piece—still has all ten fingers, all ten toes, and a working throwing arm. That’s worth more than anything you can buy at a store.”

Of course, shopping for someone like Allen isn’t exactly a walk in the park. The star quarterback recently inked a massive six-year, $330 million extension, and he’s preparing to marry a movie star fiancée. With that kind of status—and financial security—what could you possibly get him that he doesn’t already have?
Bills General Manager Brandon Beane chimed in with his own take, poking fun at the situation with a dose of dry humor. “Let’s be honest, I already gave him the ultimate wedding gift—the biggest contract in franchise history,” Beane said with a grin. “I told my wife not to bother checking the registry. We’re good.”
Beane added with a laugh, “Whatever I bring, it’ll be nothing next to those zeroes on his paycheck. He probably won’t even notice.”
Between Dawkins’ protection on the field and Beane’s blockbuster contract off it, Allen might not have much room left on the gift table—but he’ll certainly have plenty of reasons to be grateful.
