Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham didn’t hold back when discussing the officiating in the game involving former UConn star Paige Bueckers.
The Fever faced the Dallas Wings in a high-profile WNBA matchup on Tuesday, August 12, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Their previous meeting, originally scheduled at the Wings’ home court, had been moved to American Airlines Arena to accommodate the buzz surrounding Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Wings guard Paige Bueckers, both of whom had captured significant attention.
Despite sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 9-23 record, the Wings narrowly defeated the Fever 81-80. The Fever, who are in the middle of the Eastern Conference standings at 18-15, remained competitive throughout the contest.
