How will Jordan Walker be handled by the St. Louis Cardinals?
Could he be traded this winter or is he a long-term key piece? All year long, there has been discussion regarding this subject. It all stems from the Cardinals discussing the team’s “runway” players. Walker is one of the players the Cardinals have been closely monitoring throughout the season to determine whether he will be a key member of the team.

He is only 23 years old and was once the team’s top prospect. There are many different points of view at the moment. What is the team’s opinion, though? According to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol provided the team’s most straightforward response to far on the rookie outfielder.
The Cardinals sent a clear message to Jordan Walker on Tuesday
Regarding Walker, Marmol stated, “I need to see Jordan have a sense of urgency for the things that need to take place in order to give him consistent results.” That relates to his strategy during a game, his movement toward the ball, and his cage preparation.
“You must begin to notice improvement,” the manager went on. “I think it’s crucial that you begin to see consistency and development as you assess the next month.

“It depends on what you’re swinging at as well as the move he’s making and how consistently he executes it to be consistent. Because when your swing isn’t in the zone, it breaks down, even if you’re making the perfect move. For him to succeed, he has to be more reliable in both of those areas. For him to succeed, significant physical and behavioral changes must be undertaken.
Walker is currently slashing. In 91 games played, he recorded 220/.274/.313 with five home runs, 34 RBIs, seven stolen bases, 11 doubles, one triple, and 33 runs scored.
Although it hasn’t been his year, he is 23 years old. What are the Cardinals supposed to do?
