The Philadelphia Phillies are under pressure to shake things up this offseason after several straight years of falling short. Despite consistently strong regular-season performances, the team has struggled to translate that success into deep postseason runs.

Because of that, names like Alec Bohm have begun to surface in trade rumors. If Philadelphia can secure a strong package in return, the organization may be willing to move on from Bohm in the near future.
According to Bleacher Report’s Tim Kelly, the Seattle Mariners could emerge as the most logical destination for Bohm, particularly with the expectation that Seattle may part ways with Eugenio Suárez.
“The Mariners were a team linked to Bohm last offseason,” Kelly wrote. “They’ve already lost Jorge Polanco in free agency. Suárez might opt for greener hitting pastures as well. Cole Young could take over at second base, but Bohm — who drove in 97 runs in both 2023 and 2024 — would be an upgrade over Ben Williamson at the hot corner.

“Bohm is probably more likely to stay with the Phillies than not, but considering how good of a fit he looks like for the Mariners and Los Angeles Angels, he’s definitely not certain to be wearing red pinstripes in 2026.”
The Mariners could give the Phillies a haul of prospects to bring Bohm to Seattle.
Bohm would fit perfectly at the hot corner for Seattle. The Mariners don’t have anybody on the roster who could replace Suárez’s bat in the lineup, but trading for Bohm would fit perfectly.
Bohm would slot in at the top of the lineup alongside players like Cal Raleigh.
