Blessed & Honored: Highly rated-star safety Commits to Penn State with two others set to announce commitment
Penn State has secured a new commitment for its 2026 recruiting class from highly-rated in-state safety. He visited Happy Valley during Saturday’s game against Ohio State and soon after committed to the Nittany Lions. He ranks as the No. 211 overall prospect, the No. 17 safety, and the No. 5 player in Pennsylvania for the 2026 cycle. Sieg is now the seventh commitment for Penn State’s 2026 class, which currently stands at No. 3 nationally.
Welcome to the Nittany Lions, Matt!
USC Commit Visits for Ohio State Game
Wide receiver Romero Ison, who committed to USC back in April, attended Penn State’s game against Ohio State on Saturday.
The Nittany Lions are actively working to flip the Maryland native, and it seems Ison hasn’t completely closed the door on Penn State. Ranked as the No. 53 wide receiver in the 2025 class, Ison remains a target for the Nittany Lions as they try to bolster their future roster.
Over 150 Recruits to Visit for White Out Game
Happy Valley will see another hectic recruiting weekend as over 150 recruits are expected to attend Saturday night’s White Out game against Washington. Among the visitors are:
– Kendre Harrison, a 2026 tight end from North Carolina (No. 7 overall)
– Chaz Coleman, a 2025 edge rusher from Ohio (No. 421 overall)
– Khary Adams, a 2026 cornerback from Maryland (No. 162 overall)
– Tyler Merrill, a 2026 offensive lineman from Pennsylvania (No. 74 overall)
– Gregory Patrick, a 2026 offensive tackle from Michigan (No. 136 overall)
– Carter Scruggs, a 2026 offensive tackle from Virginia (No. 119 overall)
Penn State Among Teams to Watch for Florida QB
Carter Smith, a 2025 quarterback from Florida, reopened his recruitment last week after decommitting from Michigan. Penn State is anticipated to be a strong contender for his services. Smith is ranked as the No. 14 quarterback in the 2025 class. Although the current crystal ball prediction from 247Sports still favors Michigan, it’s likely that Penn State will make an effort to pursue him.
