BREAKING: Jason Kelce Finally Addresses Altercation With Penn State Fan Who Used Homophobic Slur
Jason Kelce made headlines over the weekend after a heated altercation with a Penn State fan during his visit with ESPN’s College GameDay. Videos surfaced showing Kelce smashing the fan’s phone on the ground after the individual approached him while recording and making derogatory comments, including a homophobic slur, about Kelce’s brother, Travis, and his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
On the pregame show for Monday Night Football, Kelce addressed the incident, expressing regret: “I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it. In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I don’t think that’s a productive thing,” he said. “In that moment, I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have… I try to live my life by the golden rule, that’s what I’ve always been taught. I try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I’m going to keep doing that moving forward, even though I fell short this week.”
The incident has prompted an investigation by Penn State Police.
