Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips rejoined the Buffalo Bills this week for his third stint with the team. Expressing his excitement to be back, Phillips spoke on Wednesday about his plans for dealing with the cold and his hope to finish his career in Buffalo. For Phillips, the most meaningful part of returning seems to be the Bills’ appreciation for him—something he felt was lacking during his brief time with the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys earlier this year.

“Being actually wanted, it’s a helluva drug,” Phillips shared. “You can do a lot for people when it’s in the right environment.”

Originally drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2015, Phillips played there until the Bills claimed him off waivers in 2018. He enjoyed a standout season with Buffalo in 2019 before signing with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency. However, injuries hampered his time there, leading to his release in 2021. He then returned to the Bills for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

In 2024, Phillips signed with the Giants, who traded him to the Cowboys in the preseason. However, he never played for Dallas and was released on Tuesday, opening the door for his return to Buffalo, where he feels at home.

Phillips is set to make his third debut with the Bills this weekend.
