Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe has become a divisive prospect ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. While Milroe has time to elevate his draft status, questions remain about his fit in the NFL. Luke Easterling of Athlon Sports released his latest mock draft on October 22, featuring three quarterbacks projected in the first round: Miami Hurricanes standout Cam Ward, Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders, and Penn State’s Drew Allar, all of whom are projected to go within the top 10 picks.

Jalen Milroe can boost draft stock with big game against Georgia

Milroe, however, doesn’t appear in the first round of this mock draft. Over Alabama’s first eight games, Milroe has accumulated 1,937 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions with a 67.5% completion rate. He’s also a dual threat, adding 380 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. One possibility for Milroe is to return to Alabama for another year instead of entering the draft. Dane Brugler of The Athletic noted on October 19 that this could be a wise decision.

“If he declares for the 2025 draft, could Milroe still have a shot at the first round? Absolutely,” Brugler commented. “His assessment has always been about banking on unique physical skills and mental growth. Could he benefit from another year in school? Without a doubt, and his performance against Tennessee underscores that.”
