The Buffalo Bills’ matchups with the Kansas City Chiefs never fail to deliver excitement, and this Week 11 clash was no different. In the fourth quarter, Bills quarterback Josh Allen extended Buffalo’s lead to 30-21 with a dramatic 26-yard rushing touchdown on a fourth-down play, leaving 2:17 on the clock. Many fans were reminded of the infamous “13 seconds” moment from the 2021 playoff game, knowing that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs could still pull off a comeback.

However, Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard had other plans, intercepting the three-time Super Bowl MVP with 1:07 left, sealing Kansas City’s first loss of the season. The Chiefs had entered the game with a perfect 9-0 record, having not lost since Christmas Day in 2023.

After the game, Allen, who now boasts four wins over Mahomes—the most of any quarterback—expressed respect for his rival, saying, “Lot of respect. He’s a hell of a player. One of the greatest of all time. I’m fortunate to share a football field with him.” The win improved Buffalo’s record to 9-2 heading into their bye week, putting them in strong contention for the AFC’s top seed.

Mahomes also showed sportsmanship, hinting at a possible playoff rematch as he shook hands with Allen, saying, “We’ll do it again, baby.”

While the Bills head into their bye, the Chiefs will prepare to face the Carolina Panthers in Week 12.
