ASU Football Scores Big: Lands 3 Wide Receiver Commitments After Massive Recruiting Weekend
ASU football coach Kenny Dillingham kept his postgame press conference on Saturday brief, explaining he was heading to Top Golf with a large group of visiting recruits.
The prospects had front-row seats to an exciting 35-31 victory over UCF, occupying much of the ASU sideline during the game. By Sunday, three wide receivers who attended the visit weekend announced their commitments to the Sun Devils, further bolstering ASU’s recruiting momentum.
ASU’s 2025 class was already loaded with pass-catching talent, even after the recent de-commitment of four-star wideout Adrian Wilson, who flipped to Colorado. The Sun Devils’ top three commits in the class before Sunday included receiver-turned-quarterback Cameron Dyer, tight end A.J. Ia, and wide receiver Cory Butler Jr.
Who are the newest wide receiver commits for ASU?
- Chance Ables (2025): The 6-foot-3, three-star receiver flipped his commitment from TCU to Arizona State. Ranked as the 118th-best receiver in the class by 247Sports Composite, Ables also held offers from Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Baylor. At Plano East High School in Texas, he has recorded 245 yards and four touchdowns on 16 receptions over six games this season.
- Jordan Scott (2025): Standing at 6-foot-7, Scott is one of the most coveted junior college wide receivers in the 2025 class. Playing at Southwest Mississippi Community College, he has totaled 358 yards and four touchdowns on 20 catches across eight games this season. ASU has a strong history of developing JUCO talent, with players like Brandon Aiyuk and Rachaad White advancing to the NFL.
- Cooper Reid (2026): Reid became ASU’s second commitment for the 2026 class, joining quarterback Jake Fette. The 6-foot-4 standout from Dripping Springs High School in Texas has dominated this season, hauling in 50 catches for 834 yards and 13 touchdowns over 10 games. Reid also received offers from Kansas, Houston, and Cal, among others.
ASU’s recruiting weekend delivered immediate results, solidifying their offensive talent pool for future seasons.
