BREAKING: Bills’ All-Pro Signing Confirms Retirement Plans
The Buffalo Bills aim to match last season’s win total as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Earlier this week, the team made a notable move by re-signing longtime safety Micah Hyde to their practice squad. After rejoining the team, Hyde shared his thoughts on his new role and his plans for the future.
“The great thing about this role is I can approach it day by day without the pressure of being ready to play on Sunday or any specific game,” Hyde said. “I left my ego in San Diego. The ultimate goal has always been to bring a championship to Buffalo, and that hasn’t changed. Until that happens, you’re probably stuck with me. Even after I retire at the end of this season, I might still be around in some capacity until we win it all.”
While the 33-year-old plans to retire after this season, it’s clear he envisions maintaining a connection with the team. When asked about Hyde’s potential impact, head coach Sean McDermott was candid. “With all due respect, very little,” McDermott said. “We’re in a good place with the guys who’ve been playing this season, and they’ve both done a great job.”
