Georgia Bulldogs quarterback has announced he will forgo his remaining college eligibility and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. Beck shared the news on Saturday morning with a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing gratitude to God, his family, coaches, teammates, and the Georgia fanbase for their support throughout his journey.

In his statement, Beck reflected on the lessons football has taught him, the bonds he built with teammates, and his appreciation for the coaches who guided him during his time at Georgia. Despite his decision to move on, Beck emphasized his continued support for the team as they compete in the College Football Playoff.

Beck leaves an impressive legacy in Athens, ranking as Georgia’s sixth all-time leader in passing yards (7,912) and touchdowns (58). Over the past two seasons, he posted a stellar 24-3 record as the Bulldogs’ starting quarterback.

Unfortunately, Beck’s college career ended prematurely due to a UCL injury in his throwing elbow, sustained during the first half of the 2024 SEC Championship Game. Although he briefly returned for the game’s final play, Beck was later ruled out for the remainder of the season following successful surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery and resume throwing in the spring, just in time to prepare for the NFL Draft.

In Beck’s absence, the Bulldogs will turn to quarterback Gunner Stockton as they face Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. The game is scheduled for New Year’s Day, with an 8:45 p.m. EST kickoff at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
