The Florida State Seminoles, led by head coach Mike Norvell, are aiming to bounce back from a disappointing 2-10 season, including a 1-7 record in ACC play. This marked a significant decline from their impressive 13-1 campaign the previous year, when they narrowly missed the College Football Playoff. Despite the setback, Florida State has opted to retain Norvell, giving him the opportunity to rebuild and improve the program.

The Seminoles have wasted no time in addressing roster needs, landing Tennessee wide receiver Squirrel White through the transfer portal. Over three seasons with the Volunteers, White proved to be a productive asset, recording 131 receptions for 1,665 yards and six touchdowns. In 2024, he also contributed as a return specialist, with seven attempts for 112 yards.

SEC Wide Receiver Transfer Set to Visit Florida State

A three-star recruit out of high school, White was ranked as the No. 84 wide receiver nationally by 247Sports and held offers from powerhouse programs like Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Michigan.

White joins an impressive group of transfer additions for Florida State, including four-star wide receiver Duce Robinson, four-star offensive tackle Micah Pettus, and four-star interior offensive lineman Luke Petitbon. These new faces are expected to provide a much-needed boost to the Seminoles’ offense as they look to turn the tide in the upcoming season.
