Clark, standing at six feet tall and weighing 185 pounds, previously signed with the Chicago Bears after going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, he was waived at the conclusion of training camp. Despite a brief stint on the practice roster, he was released outright in October.

Hailing from Saint Rose, Louisiana, the 24-year-old recorded impressive stats during his collegiate career at Tulane University, amassing 202 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, nine interceptions, eight pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries across 51 games. His standout performance in his senior year earned him first-team All-AAC honors.

In addition, the Alouettes announced the release of American linebacker C.J. Avery, who joined the team in January 2024.

Avery, a native of Grenada, Mississippi, stands at six feet tall and weighs 230 pounds. During his tenure at the University of Louisville, he accumulated 249 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, three interceptions, and 19 pass breakups over 59 games. Although he signed with the Chicago Bears in 2022, he was waived due to injury.

The Alouettes are set to kick off their 2024 season on June 6 with a visit to Princess Auto Stadium to face the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in a rematch of the Grey Cup.
