BREAKING NEWS: LSU To Land Commitment For monster weekend on the recruiting trail
Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers are gearing up for a significant weekend on the recruiting front, as several key prospects are set to visit Baton Rouge.
Among the notable recruits scheduled to be in town is Micah DeBose, ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the nation. DeBose previously visited Death Valley in February and will now attend LSU’s Junior Day event alongside other top prospects.
Brian Kelly: "I've been really happy with Corey Raymond's attention to detail and his interaction with the DBs, especially the freshmen and transfers he didn't know."
"He's a great recruiter but I've been most impressed with his ability to engage and connect with the players…

Following his February visit, LSU’s interest in DeBose intensified, sparking predictions that he may join the Tigers’ highly-ranked recruiting class. Sources close to DeBose’s recruitment indicate that LSU has emerged as the frontrunner in his decision-making process.
DeBose, who initially committed to Georgia before reopening his recruitment, had Auburn as a strong contender initially. However, LSU quickly positioned themselves as the leading choice for the 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman.
Brian Kelly said Shelton Sampson is working on releases off the line and not getting re-routed so he can use his length and size downfield.
"The big jump for him is the physicality of the game… Once he puts that behind him, I can see him making great strides really quickly."

Brad Davis, LSU’s offensive line coach, has been instrumental in the recruitment process, aiming to strengthen the team’s offensive line for the future. With past successes in landing top offensive line prospects, including five-star Weston Davis in the previous recruiting cycle, LSU is poised to add DeBose to their impressive 2025 class.
In addition to DeBose, LSU is also trending for other notable prospects like four-star running back James Simon. The coaching staff hopes to secure commitments from these national recruits sooner rather than later.
#LSU HC Brian Kelly on Zavion Thomas:
"We haven't see him catch punts yet, but we know he can do it. That's not the primary reason we got him. We got him because of his speed and his veteran presence."
