Georgia’s Tray Scott says two DL signees Elijah Griffin, JJ Hanne bring ‘position versatility’
Georgia’s 2025 defensive line class may have been small in numbers, but it is packed with talent.
The Bulldogs signed just two defensive linemen in the class, but both are expected to contribute early. One is 5-star recruit Elijah Griffin, whom Georgia has been pursuing since he was in eighth grade. The other is JJ Hanne, a versatile prospect originally from Europe who moved to California and is valued for his high potential.
Both players bring the ability to play multiple positions along the defensive line, which is something Georgia values highly. “Their versatility is why we really like them,” said Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott. “They can do a lot of different things, and you’ll likely see them in various roles because of that. Position versatility is a premium for us.”
