BREAKING: Duke Basketball Makes Historic Announcement After Dominant Win Over Syracuse
The No. 2 Duke Blue Devils improved to 20-2 with a dominant 83-54 win over Syracuse on Wednesday night. Playing in front of 23,313 fans at the JMA Wireless Dome, Jon Scheyer’s squad secured the largest road victory at the arena since 2020. Notably, Duke holds three of the top four largest margins of victory at Syracuse’s home court during that span, with wins of 29, 25, and 22 points.

Duke showcased a balanced scoring attack, with five players reaching double figures. Tyrese Proctor led the way with 16 points, while freshman Cooper Flagg contributed 11 points and five rebounds. Syracuse transfer Maliq Brown made a significant impact with a team-high eight rebounds. “Maliq has changed our team dramatically,” Scheyer said. “He’s the ultimate teammate—unselfish, energetic, and a force on defense.”
