Former Washington Huskies OL coach hired as Los Angeles Rams TE coach
Former Washington Huskies offensive line coach Scott Huff is remaining in the NFL. After spending the 2024 season with the Seattle Seahawks, he was not retained by new head coach Mike Macdonald but has found a new role in the NFC West as the tight ends coach for Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams.
Seattle’s offensive line struggled under Huff in his lone season, dealing with numerous injuries and allowing 54 sacks—the third-most in the NFL. This led Macdonald to part ways with both Huff and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, another former Washington coach.

Many Huskies fans hoped Huff would return to Washington under new head coach Jedd Fisch, but Fisch promoted assistant offensive line coach Michael Switzer instead. Huff now reunites with one of Fisch’s former head coaches.
Huff coached Washington’s offensive line for seven seasons, culminating in the unit winning the Joe Moore Award in 2023 as the Huskies reached the national championship. During his tenure, four of his linemen were drafted into the NFL, including first-round picks Kaleb McGary and Troy Fautanu.
This won’t be Huff’s first time coaching tight ends. He previously held the position for five seasons at Boise State under Chris Petersen, coaching tight ends in 2006 and again from 2010 to 2013 before transitioning back to the offensive line in 2014 when Petersen moved to Washington.
