The Buffalo Bills have bolstered their defensive end depth with the signing of Casey Toohill to a one-year deal, as officially announced by the team on Tuesday. At 27 years old, Toohill is coming off a season where he made significant contributions, starting eight games and achieving a career-best five sacks with the Washington Commanders. If he can maintain that level of production in Buffalo, he should seamlessly integrate into the team.

Originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Toohill was waived after appearing in just one game for the team. Subsequently, the Commanders claimed him off waivers the following day, where he gradually developed into a dependable role player for the squad.

Over his four-year tenure in Washington, Toohill compiled 78 total tackles, including nine tackles for loss, and accumulated seven sacks. He started 14 out of the 56 games he played for the team, showcasing his versatility and contribution to the defensive unit.
