BREAKING: Josh Allen Reacts to Bills Teammate’s Surprise Retirement
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills once again demonstrated they are on the verge of winning a Lombardi Trophy but fell short in the AFC Championship Game. The Bills wrapped up their season with a 15-5 overall record, including the playoffs, ultimately concluding with a 32-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Following the season, Bills offensive lineman Tommy Doyle announced his retirement from the NFL at the age of 26. Doyle was forced to step away from football due to a leg injury that resulted in nerve damage. After sharing the news on social media, Allen responded by posting a red heart and a goat emoji, a common symbol for the greatest of all time.

In his retirement announcement, Doyle reflected on his journey in football. “What an adventure,” he wrote. “The highs, the lows. The wins, the losses. The adversity, the lessons, the brotherhood—every moment has shaped me. After battling injuries and dealing with nerve damage, I’ve made the difficult decision to retire from the NFL. I wanted to address it directly rather than let rumors spread. As much as I wanted to keep going, I trust that God’s plan is greater than mine.

To my teammates, coaches, family, trainers, and friends—you made this ride unforgettable. To the Pegula family and the entire Bills organization—thank you for believing in me. And to the city of Buffalo and the Bills Mafia—your love and support have meant everything. This isn’t goodbye—it’s just the next chapter. Can’t wait to be back next season, tailgating with y’all. JOHN 13:7.”
Doyle was drafted by Buffalo in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft after playing college football at Miami (Ohio) from 2016 to 2020.
