The Buffalo Bills are entering a pivotal offseason as they aim to reshape their roster following another disappointing playoff exit. They wrapped up the season with a 15-5 record, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship—marking their fourth consecutive postseason loss to Patrick Mahomes and company. Before that, Buffalo secured victories over the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens in the earlier rounds. Determined to return to the Super Bowl and seek redemption, the Bills have secured one of their key offensive playmakers. On Monday, the team officially announced a contract extension for wide receiver Khalil Shakir, captioning the news with “Pen to paper.” Shakir agreed to a four-year, $60.2 million extension.

In the previous season, Shakir recorded 76 receptions for 821 yards and four touchdowns. A fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, he has spent three seasons in Buffalo, accumulating 125 receptions, 1,593 yards, and seven touchdowns. Shakir will continue to work alongside quarterback Josh Allen, who was named NFL MVP last season. Allen led the Bills’ offense with 28 touchdowns, 3,731 passing yards, and a 63.6% completion rate.
