Former Buffalo Bills center Mitch Morse, who played the 2024 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, announced his retirement on Thursday, March 6. The 2022 Pro Bowler and veteran lineman will turn 33 in April.

Morse entered the NFL as a second-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs, selected 49th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent his first four seasons with Kansas City before leaving following their 2018 AFC Championship Game loss to the New England Patriots. That offseason, he signed a four-year, $44.5 million contract with Buffalo.

During his time with the Bills, Morse formed a strong connection with quarterback Josh Allen, playing a crucial role in Allen’s development as a passer and leader.

He served as the anchor of Buffalo’s offensive line, starting all 77 regular-season games he played, along with 10 playoff starts. The Bills released him for salary cap reasons before the 2024 season, leading him to sign a two-year, $10.5 million deal with Jacksonville.

Throughout his career, Morse dealt with multiple concussions, having officially suffered six by the end of the 2022 season. While he remained healthy in 2023 and 2024, he was evaluated for another head injury in November while playing for the Jaguars.

Off the field, Morse and his wife, Caitlin, were active members of the Western New York community and leave behind a lasting impact. As he transitions into the next phase of his life, we wish him and his family all the best.

A great 10-year career, No. 60—thank you for everything you did for the Buffalo Bills!
