Bills Agree to Deal With 25-years-old WR to Boost Receiving Corps for Josh Allen
The Buffalo Bills maintained the core of their 2024 receiving group by extending Khalil Shakir earlier this offseason. On Monday, they made another move to strengthen it.
As NFL free agency got underway, reports surfaced that the Bills were signing Josh Palmer from the Los Angeles Chargers. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Palmer’s contract is worth up to $36 million, with $18 million guaranteed.
The 25-year-old wide receiver recorded 39 receptions for 584 yards with the Chargers in 2024. Drafted in 2021, Palmer showed promise alongside Justin Herbert, particularly in 2022 when he caught 72 passes for 769 yards.

However, a knee injury hampered his 2023 season, and in 2024, he struggled to secure consistent playing time under Jim Harbaugh, appearing in 15 games but playing just 65% of the offensive snaps—his lowest since his rookie year.
Palmer brings size to the Bills’ receiving corps, complementing Keon Coleman while balancing Shakir’s skill set. With Josh Allen winning MVP last season, the addition of Palmer could make Buffalo’s passing attack even more dangerous in 2025.
