BREAKING: Buffalo Bills to star in new Hallmark Christmas movie filming in Western NY
The Buffalo Bills are trading the football field for festive cheer as they take center stage in a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Damar Hamlin announced Thursday that the team will be featured in a new holiday film, a collaboration between Hallmark Media, the NFL, and Skydance Sports. Titled Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, the movie will be shot entirely in and around Buffalo, including at the Orchard Park stadium.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate our team, our fans, and, of course, Bills Mafia, while sharing our love for football and Hallmark Christmas movies. Go Bills!” Hamlin said.
This marks Hallmark’s second NFL-themed Christmas movie following last year’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which featured appearances by Andy Reid, George Karlaftis, Trent Green, and Donna Kelce—Travis Kelce’s mother. That film also included subtle references to Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift, and the Bills’ version could follow suit by nodding to quarterback Josh Allen’s engagement to actress-singer Hailee Steinfeld.
The cast for A Bills Love Story has not yet been revealed, though fans have speculated that actor Mario Lopez might be involved. Lopez recently shared that he was filming a holiday movie in Tonawanda with the help of Bills Mafia for a crowd scene. However, WIVB clarified that he is actually working on a separate Hallmark project called Newport Christmas.

According to Skydance, Hallmark, and the Bills, production for A Bills Love Story will begin in the coming months, with more details to be announced later.

“We were honored to be approached by Skydance Sports for this incredible opportunity to showcase two strong brands—Hallmark and the Buffalo Bills,” said Bills COO Pete Guelli. “This is another testament to how the Bills brand and our passionate fan base continue to expand across sports and entertainment. We are excited to bring Western New York and Bills Mafia to the Hallmark audience and hope this film becomes a holiday favorite!”
