After a disappointing first-round exit in the 2025 NCAA Tournament to Ole Miss, Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels have already undergone significant roster turnover. Senior guard RJ Davis wrapped up his college career and is expected to pursue a professional path, while four other players, including starting guard Elliot Cadeau and forward Jalen Washington, entered the transfer portal.

Despite the departures, Davis has been active in rebuilding the roster. On Sunday, he landed his fourth transfer, Alabama forward Jarin Stevenson, as reported by On3’s Joe Tipton.

Stevenson, a 6-foot-11, 215-pound forward from Pittsboro, NC, was a four-star recruit out of Seaforth High School in the 2023 class. Ranked No. 50 nationally and No. 2 in North Carolina by 247Sports, he saw steady playing time as a freshman at Alabama, averaging 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game. In his sophomore year, he had a fluctuating role in the starting lineup, finishing with 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds over 18.7 minutes per game.

Now returning to his home state with two years of eligibility left, Stevenson joins a Tar Heel transfer class that also includes Jonathan Powell (West Virginia), Kyan Evans (Colorado State), and Henri Veesaar (Arizona).
