WNBA Fans Rejoice After Much Maligned TCU Star Sedona Prince Receives Big News
Controversial TCU Horned Frogs standout Sedona Prince went undrafted in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday night, despite projections that had her as a likely second-round pick. The 6-foot-7 Texas native, who averaged 17.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, and a nation-leading 3.0 blocks per game while helping TCU reach its first-ever Elite Eight, was not among the 38 players selected. While her teammate Hailey Van Lith was taken in the first round by the Chicago Sky, Prince was left off the board—an outcome many women’s basketball fans have openly celebrated.
Assault And Domestic Violence Allegations Cause Sedona Prince To Go Undrafted
So why did a player with Sedona Prince’s talent and unique physical tools go undrafted? The answer likely lies off the court. In recent months, four different women have accused Prince of either sexual abuse or domestic violence. While her attorney recently issued a denial of those allegations to ESPN, they’ve clearly cast a shadow over her future.

“Sedona has not been charged with a crime or found guilty of any misconduct,” her lawyer said. “Instead, she’s been judged on social media by individuals attempting to gain attention, build influencer followings, or settle personal scores. Any missteps she may have made are no different than those of other young people navigating relationships—her only mistake was sharing her life on TikTok.”

Still, serious allegations like these deserve to be treated with gravity. One accusation might be viewed with more skepticism and a wait for clear evidence—but when there are multiple accusers, it becomes more difficult to simply look the other way. While Prince remains innocent until proven guilty, the situation doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.
That’s part of the reason so many WNBA fans celebrated when her name wasn’t called on draft night.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen an athlete more universally disliked by their sport’s fan base than Sedona Prince,” one person tweeted.
“Sedona Prince didn’t get drafted and that is hilarious,” added another.
Could Prince still find her way into the WNBA down the road? It’s possible—especially if she’s eventually cleared, whether through compelling evidence or legal proceedings. But for now, it seems her critics are claiming a victory.
